Presented in association with Dogbite Film Crew, roughcut is the only regular film event in Cornwall dedicated to showing work by new and emerging directors. It’s a great chance for filmmakers to get their work seen and to network with industry professionals. It is also a great excuse to make that film you’ve always wanted to make!
We accept all kinds of films in the following genres:

How do I get my film into roughcut?
It couldn’t be easier to get a film into ROUGHCUT.
Simply upload your film to VIMEO and fill out our submissions form HERE. (ideally films will be no longer than 15 mins)
Please save the form as [ddmmyy_FILMNAME_submission_form].pdf and email it to " target="_blank">.
If successful, filmmakers will be notified of the date of their screening.

What do the filmmakers get?
Each film selected will receive 1 free ticket to the DOGHOUSE screening event.
At each ROUGHCUT screening an audience vote will be conducted and one film will be crowned “Film of the night”.
The winning film will be entered into our annual ‘Best of ROUGHCUT’ screening where you will have the chance to claim the ROUGHCUT champion of champions Film Award!
At ROUGHCUT events audiences are invited to give feedback on all films screened. If your film is screened and you wish to recieve any feedback submitted, please email within 7 working days of your films screening date, using ‘Film Name – Feedback Request’ as your subject.
Note: Unfortunately we will not be able to fulfill ‘requests for feedback’ received after 7 working days.
Tickets for ROUGHCUT are like gold dust so book early to avoid disappointment. You can buy tickets via Cornish Riviera Box Office or buy them on the door.
