External Evaluator

o-region are seeking tenders from experienced and enthusiastic evaluators (individuals or organisations) to carry out an independent external evaluation of their Shared Prosperity programme of work in 2024/25 (From the Horse’s Mouth and WHITE HORSE). The evaluator will devise and implement our Evaluation Strategy and complete a final evaluation report in line with the Shared Prosperity Fund guidance.

Role: External Evaluator
Duration:  Starting as soon as possible until March 2025 
Value of contract: max. £15k including VAT
Location: Flexible although will require attendance at some of the programme.

  • The evaluator will create a methodology for the evaluation of o-region’s dual faceted programme of work across ‘FROM THE HORSE’S MOUTH’ and ‘WHITE HORSE’.
  • This evaluation will be in line with the Outcomes and Outputs of SPF funding as well as identifying the learning opportunities for o-region as a whole. 
  • The evaluator is responsible for coordinating data analysis and feedback of these projects and preparing evaluation documents for use internally and for external funders.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for an evaluator with the following criteria:

  • Proven track record of arts project evaluation   
  • Previous experience of evaluating publicly funded projects   
  • High level of written and verbal communication and advocacy skills   
  • Demonstrable report writing and presentation skills   
  • Knowledge of community-engaged practice   
  • Capacity to deliver work within a tight timescale. The final show will take place 28th Feb-8th March 2025 and final evaluation is due in end of March/mid April 2025.
